Arvand Petrochemical Company, recognized as one of the largest fully integrated PVC producers in the Middle East and globally, is located at Site No. 3 of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone (PSEEZ), covering an area of 108 hectares. This major industrial complex was established with the mission of supplying raw materials to domestic downstream industries, supporting sustainable exports, contributing to national industrial growth, creating employment opportunities, and achieving self-sufficiency. Arvand operates under the supervision of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC).
Products and Production Capacity
Arvand Petrochemical plays a vital role in both domestic and international markets with its considerable production capacity and product diversity. The company’s main products and their annual production capacities are as follows:

Global Market Position

Production Process
The primary feedstocks for Arvand Petrochemical are industrial salt and ethylene. Each year, 1,300,000 tons of salt are extracted from salt lakes near Bandar Imam Khomeini. After purification at the salt washing facility, the brine is transferred via a 22-kilometer pipeline to the Chlor-Alkali Unit.
In this unit, the brine undergoes electrolysis to produce chlorine gas and hydrogen. The chlorine gas is consumed within the complex and also supplied to neighboring petrochemical plants including Ghadir, Karun, Khuzestan, and Bandar Imam. In combination with ethylene received from the West Ethylene Pipeline, chlorine is processed into EDC and subsequently into VCM, which is then used in the production of S-PVC and E-PVC.
